The Nevada City Winery had been operating out of a 19th Century corrugated metal barn that had been strengthened to store barrels of wine and had been fitted with stainless steel tanks and a small lab/office/bathroom for the wine maker.  The business opperations of the organization were accomodated in a small rented office at the adjacent Miner's Foundry Cultural Center.

Our renovation of the existing steel building allowed for storage, while adding business offices, provided an innovative wine maker's walkway ("Catwalk") which allows him to access his stainless wine tanks more readily, and more safely.  We also added a very spacious barrel room/ wine making facility complete with a wine maker's office and lab and an upper (street level) wine tasting room that allowed for a wine library, meeting room and accessible restrooms for the patrons.  There is also a spacious cantilevered deck for outdoor activities.
